How you cure acne scars?
#3 by hapasweet on February 13, 2010 - 10:15 pm
It’s not weird at all, it’s actually quite normal, thus the title of ‘adult acne’.
Really depends on hormones of the individual.

I too never really had acne until I was an adult. The dermatologist put me on a benzyl peroxide topical treatment of 2.5%. I put it on my face and went to bed. I woke up to huge blisters, bleeding, scabs, and pretty severe chemical burns all over the area I had placed the medicine. I have scars to this day. Just a warning to everyone, test it on one spot on your first. You don’t want to find out after the fact that its too strong for your skin.

i did the whole deal with getting rid of bacteria deal and a gentle cleanser since i knew what acne was since i was about 13 so i never really spent tons on curing it jsut beacuse i knew i only needed a couple products at most. I just basically said, why not just treat acne like an infection then but use benzoyl peroxide instead of hydrogen peroxide…so far its worked for me for about 10 years and im just 24…when i stop the regimen, i break out after a month or so…

that was so weird that you got acne at 19 and 20 I got acne when I was 11 and i took acutane when I was 12 and I’ve never had acne since
I can’t believe an adult of 20 would get acne for the first time though thats crazy to me!

I started using Cetaphil Cleanser and St. Ive’s Apricot Scrub a few months ago and it cleared up my skin alot. But now I’ve noticed little bumps under my eyes and my cheeks are constantly red. Any clues on how to get rid of my redness and bumps? Thanks!

Various skin care routines worked better with my skin but it was far from enough. My face, especially the T zone, was covered in deep and painful cystic acne. I went to the dermatologist, got pills and topical prescriptions. The cysts calmed down and began to fade. Now I visit my dermatologist once a month for a skin control and some mild pills/topical stuff. My skin is clear, almost acne free (I get it mostly where my facial hair is). LUSH also has helped me a lot.

I just wanted to thank you. i watched your original acne video and went and got a tube of benzyl peroxide for $10. i would say a few months later i am actually acne free for the first time in 9-10 years. there has never been a day when i could wake up with not one spot until now. All i have to worry about it now is how to dipose of the $100’s worth of acne “cures” ive been collecting over the years.

this is a great video, but you need to understand what is causing your acne, its not always bacteria actually CAUSING acne, sometimes bacteria is just there because there’s an abundance of “food” (oil). Sometimes its just too much oil and extremely poor exfoliation. Sometimes peels in conjunction with a glycolic based line, salicylic in at least one product, and a spot treater.

oxy 10 is benzoyl peroxide
#22 by HarrisLyRoz on February 14, 2010 - 10:49 am
fit is not necessary to use a huge amount of benzoyl peroxide…apply a thin layer to infected areas morning and night…if your skin starts getting dry, use once a day. Proactive moisturizer contains benzoyl peroxide…use the same way but find an alternative moisturizer to use in conjunction with it…ie proactiv at night, alt moisturizer in the morning. It will clear up acne but help prevent ur skin from drying. just my tip.
