A person E-Mailed me about the previous discription. Most of the things he said was right, so I decided to change it to this. This is not a matter of race or color, its more about change. I may not approve of everything Pres. Obama does but who knows it might work.

haha ok and yeah i figured you weren’t against it
thanks for the talk
#10 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 7:33 am
yeah, and for the record, i’m against deprorting immigrants, i think we should make it easier to become citizens so not so many of them have to come here illegally.
and since it seems like we actually agree on most things, i think this is a good place to stop the conversation
#11 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 8:26 am
exactly! and yeah people can be nationalistic but not be violent. But they also can’t oppress people that aren’t the same. For example, my friend is anti-war, however he agrees strongly with what ann coulter said about how ‘illegal immigrants should be forced to build a wall in between the U.S. and Mexico, and then we should kick them all out’ and that kind of nationalism parallels what the KKK was about. So it doesn’t have to be violent to be bad. But it’s not all bad as you said.

oh yeah i know, i was just using as an example of extremism that isn’t bad, it’s bad in a nationalist and religious context when that turns violent, but if no one is being hurt it’s ok. I know a lot of people that really love america or whatever, but they wouldn’t attack someone just because that person doesn’t like america, they’d argue, but it wouldn’t turn violent, and what we need is more discussions not wars
#14 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 10:16 am
yeah that’s true. but in a national situation, it can be. because then we feel that everyone who’s culture or traditions aren’t the same as ours, we must have them be that way. Which paves the way for imperialism, evangelism, war, etc.
So yeah it can be but if people know what’s right and what’s wrong before they obtusely extol their country, then things would be better off.
#15 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 10:42 am
wow you responded quickly
yeah, it would be a nationalist, but i was just saying that being extremist isn’t necessarily bad. It’s not bad to be a huge fan, it’s just a little lame
#16 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 10:43 am
oh well i guess i’m the opposite? idk it’s kind of hard to establish a comparison. But i suppose that would be a nationalist extremist.
I’m not a lover of government or established systems or restrictions

oh, well a lot of football fans go to extreme levels for their teams, like painting themselves in team colors and following the team statistics and stuff like that.
I’m not really a football fan either, more of a hockey person, but i watch it on tv sometimes
#18 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 11:49 am
Explain the football comment. I’m not a fan of football so I don’t really know.
#19 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 12:17 pm
Well extremist doesn’t mean bad, it just means you have extreme views. A lot of football fans are extremists.
Yeah, communism got distorted, but every political ideology does anyway because people are running the governments.
#20 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 12:42 pm
now.. when Communism obscured onto a path that almost paralleled Fascism, the tension remained although the two political views were almost identical. That switch from proposed communism to fascism is a result of what I like to call the circular political spectrum. I don’t think both ends include totalitarianism. communism is not fascism unless it fully circumnavigates the entire spectrum. but the hate remained between the nazis and communists even though they had become indistinguishable
#21 by codarkstarxx13 on February 27, 2010 - 1:00 pm
Exactly. I’m glad we can see eye to eye on that. It’s because of what I said about labeling. And I don’t want you to think that my extremist views are negative in anyway. I’m not what people have smeared non-moderate views to be. But for example, Communism, when first introduced by Marx had almost no state intervention, proposing a communal anarchy of sorts. That’s where Communists and Fascists such as nazis got tension built between them.
cont..

I can tell you have pretty extremist views, and I agree, as long as Obama’s in office the right will ignore the need for reform because Obama is for reform and they are against Obama
#23 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 1:49 pm
I can see you’re not a conformist, but you’re the kind of person who’s like “if everyone doesn’t non-conform the way I do then they are a conformist.” I’m against unjustified violence, but there are violent people and if they attack you, you have the responisbility to defend yourself, and this extends to nations
and that’s why I think you are naive, you can’t just reject violence altogether, you need to look at it on a case-by-case basis
#24 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 2:33 pm
I’m far from a nationalist, i think we only have the right to go to war if we are attacked first, cause we do need to defend ourselves. If we don’t, we’ll go the way of the Shakers and the Puritans who were so against violence they wouldn’t defend themselves from Native American attacks, and so they all got killed
#25 by 182below0 on February 27, 2010 - 3:24 pm
we’re free to say what we want, but if we’re trying to attack people or something, then the FBI will get us, it’s not right to spy on what people are putting in their emails and saying in their phone calls
