As America gets older, we all begin searching for an anti aging skin care product that is something like that elusive fountain of youth.
For most of us that search ends, because we are dissatisfied with anti aging skin care products.
There are multitudes of beauty related items for sale and it seems as though everyone now carries an anti aging skin care product.
Some of them are good, some are bad, and still others do nothing at all.
Not all of the anti aging skin care products out there will perform as advertised, and not all contain the all natural ingredients that they claim to have.
Some may even contain harsh chemicals and abrasives in them which will cause more damage to your overall appearance than good.
When purchasing an anti aging skin care product, you need to know what to look for.
Always be sure to read the label carefully and be sure that you fully understand both the ingredients and their uses.
The educated consumer is the biggest thorn in the side of the con man trying to peddle his wares through falsehoods and deceptions.
Many manufacturers of anti aging skin care products will try to make them seem superior by including time familiar names that they are sure you’ll recognize.
An excellent example of that is the use of collagen as an ingredient.
What they won’t tell you is this.
Collagen is an absolutely useless inclusion in a topical anti aging skin care product, because collagen, of that type, cannot be absorbed through the skin.
One of the major problems with the companies in business today is that there is little to no real regulation about what they can claim that their creams can do.
Due to the fact that anti aging skin care products are topical and not ingestible, control of the industry doesn’t fall to the stringent Food and Drug Administration.
Regulation instead is enforced by the Federal Trade Commission
What this means is that regulation is only loosely enforced.
The Federal Trade Commission is slow to act unless someone complains officially to them.
This gives the manufacturer of an anti aging skin care product plenty of leeway in the things that they claim that their creams can do.
What are good anti aging skin care products supposed to do, anyway?
Well the basic goal is to attempt to stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, elastin, and skin cells.
There is a natural substance currently being used which is extracted from the wool of certain varieties of sheep.
Another thing that you want is a an anti aging skin care product which contains strong anti-oxidants in order to destroy the free radicals created as a result of oxidative stress.
One company offers new anti aging skin care products that have adapted a form of CoEnzyme Q10, for this purpose, and are currently the only people on the market to have done so.
The goal of the average anti aging skin care product is to remove wrinkles, dryness, sagging and discoloration brought on by time and wear.
Some are simply better at it than others. Be knowledgeable, and be wary in your search.
