A Simple Guide to Anti Aging Skin Care
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on July 4, 2011
Let’s face it, anti aging skin care becomes more and more of a concern as the years roll by. With age the perfect complexion that we took for granted in our twenties begins to fade and lines and wrinkles begin to appear. This is the time when we rely on an antiaging skin cream to restore our youthful appearance.
With so many skin care products on the market it’s difficult to know where to start. The shops are full of different brands some of which are advertised in magazines and on TV and others are own brand products. But how do you know which antiaging skin cream will work for you? Which brand will produce visible and lasting results?
A good place to start is the list of ingredients on the label attached to the tube or jar. When you know what to look for this will tell you how effective the product is likely to be. The main reason why our skin starts to sag and develop lines is that as we grow older the proteins collagen and elastin begin to break down. So ingredients that promote the growth of these two proteins are what you want to see when choosing an antiaging skin cream.
Three ingredients that you should look out for are Phytessence Wakame, Cynergy TK and Coenzyme Q10. Each of these in different ways stimulate the growth of collagen which improves the skin’s firmness and elasticity. But you should be aware that including collagen in the skin cream is ineffective since collagen cannot be absorbed by the skin.
This might seem incredible, but some skin care products contain ingredients that can actually cause harm to your skin with prolonged application. Mineral oil, also known as paraffin wax, a common ingredient of skin creams, clogs the pores and interferes with the skin’s natural ability to eliminate toxins. Dioxane, a synthetic derivative of coconut and a common skin cream ingredient is a known carcinogenic. The very fragrance that attracts you to a particular antiaging skin cream could be created from ingredients that are either toxic, or worse, carcinogenic. Parabens of various types are a
preservative used in anti aging skin care products to increase shelf life. Studies have shown that they can cause cancer and result in allergic reactions and skin rashes.
Not only is it essential to know the ingredients that go into an anti aging skin care product, but it is equally important to make sure that even the good, active ingredients are used in sufficient quantity. Because of the high cost of these substances some manufacturers will include a minute amount just so that it can be shown on the list of ingredients.
Hopefully this brief survey of anti aging skin care products will help you in making a more informed choice when shopping for antiaging skin cream.

A Simple Anti Aging Skin Care Guide Anyone Can Use
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on April 23, 2011
I have a confession to make. For many years I used an anti aging skin care treatment recommended by a very famous movie star (I won’t mention her name) in an article in Life magazine. This skin care treatment went something like this: don’t towel off after a shower or bath, but combine the water on your body with petroleum jelly and rub in until completely absorbed.
Following an anti aging skin care guide by a movie star, who has professional make up people and studio lights to make her look beautiful, should have been my first hint that her advice probably wasn’t a good thing. But I’ll talk more about this a little later.
Anti aging skin care treatment continues to be in high demand by women who want to keep a youthful appearance. And like with anything else in life, using a little common sense and some simple, but important information can help create an effective anti aging skin care guide – a guide that anyone can use and one which works with the skin’s own natural ability to sustain its youthful longevity.
1. Moderate your exposure to the sun. Sunlight, in small doses, is good for you. It’s a wonderful source of Vitamin D which is important for maintaining your calcium balance and boosting your immunity. But in large doses, sunlight has the potential to do great damage to the skin by decreasing the skin’s natural ability to produce the tissue-repairing substance, hyaluronan. We also know that excessive exposure to sunlight can cause skin cancer.
So to protect your skin’s hyaluronan, avoid going out during peak sunlight exposure hours (10 am – 2 pm). If you have to be outdoors during this time, wear a hat to keep the sun off your face.
Why am I not recommending sunscreen? I believe that hats are preferable to sunscreen simply because the synthetic chemicals present in these products can be potentially harmful.
2. Maintain a healthy intake of water. Any effective anti aging skin care treatment includes a health intake of water. Because your body is made up of 70% water, it’s essentially a machine powered by water. All bodily systems, including your skin, need to be kept well hydrated in order to function the way nature intended.
You can increase the benefits of drinking water by making sure its pure, filtered water. 8 glasses of purified water, drunk throughout the day, is a wonderful way to enhance over-all anti aging skin care.
3. Include plenty of green, leafy vegetables in your diet. I know you’ve heard this advice before. But the reason its a part of this anti aging skin care guide is because these foods play a major role in keeping your skin looking young and healthy.
The antioxidant properties of vegetables like spinach and broccoli fight the production of highly destructive free radicals. Aging of the skin is the result of the damage that these tiny molecules are capable of inflicting. Keeping the production of free radicals at a minimum by eating dark green leafy vegetables is a simple AND delicious anti aging skin care treatment.
4. Use only high quality, nature-based, skin care products. There is an over-abundant supply of anti aging skin care creams on the market. Many of them are able to produce a temporary positive appearance with their synthetic, wrinkle and line-filling ingredients. Unfortunately, there is no long term, healthy improvement of the skin.
Which brings me back to the reason that the movie star’s advice to use petroleum jelly was so bad… it’s because this substance comes from petroleum…the same substance that is used to manufacture gasoline. While my skin may have felt soft, I was clogging my pores and causing long-term damage to my skin cells.
The most truly effective skin care products are the ones containing high concentrations of natural ingredients that work to stimulate your body’s own production of collagen and elastins. Don’t be fooled by a skin cream that is promoted as being collagen-based. These products are useless because the collagen molecules in these creams are too large to penetrate the cells of the skin.
You can help stimulate your skin’s own collagen and elastin production by looking for products that contain ingredients such as phytessence wakame and nanobelle CoenzymeQ10.
Now that you have this simple anti aging skin care guide, I hope you will do your own exploration of the best anti aging skin care treatments. You will find, as I did, that there are high quality products available that will help you achieve the results you’re looking for.

A Simple Easy and Effective Anti Aging Skin Care Guide
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on May 3, 2010
To be truly easy and effective an anti aging skin care guide needs to be simple. There’s no need to spend 30 minutes a day sitting around with a full mask of green on your face.
Truth is if you just follow a few of the tips set out below and your skin will look younger for years to come.
Later in the article there are some great and effective products that can be classified as an anti aging skin care treatment.
Tip number # 1
Of course we all love a tan because it makes us look healthy and active as if you have come back from a fantastic vacation, and in fact some sun is actually good for your skin.. However too much sun will damage your skin. We are all being told to rely on sunscreen but most sunscreens contain products that are actually harmful to our skin.
If your curious about the sun and why just a little is good for us here are the reasons.
Firstly sunlight helps our bodies produce vitamin D which is essential for good health.
Hyaluronan is a major component of skin and its function is tissue repair. When we get too much sun the UVB rays damage the skins cells which in turn causes our bodies to produce less Hyaluronan as time goes by.
Tip # 2
One of the very best things you can do for your skin is as simple as making sure that you drink plenty of clean filtered water. The water that comes from our taps can actually harm us due to the chemicals due to all the chemicals it may contain.. As our bodies are nearly 70 % water and our skin is the largest organ its very important to keep it well hydrated, which in turn keeps our skin looking its best. Around 8 glasses a day is ideal.
Tip # 3
This anti aging skin care guide would be lacking if it did not include our diets, especially the importance of spinach , broccoli and other dark green leafy vegetables.
Regular servings of these antioxidant rich foods will help to fight the highly destructive free radicals which roam our bodies causing aging and other damage to our skin and major organs.
Just by following the above tips regularly you can help to ensure your skin can retain its youthful appearance for years to come.
There are also some secret weapons available to help us in our quest for better skin. One of the best weapons is an anti aging skin care treatment, but and its quite a big but a good treatment must do 3 things for us.
Number 1. They must help our bodies produce its own elastin and collagen. Both these are needed to maintain a youthful appearance .As we age we produce less collagen and elastin . However certain substances like Nanobelle Coenzyme Q10 can help the body to produce more of these essentials.
( Just a side note, manufacturers try to convince us their products contain collagen.
Even if it were true collagen molecules are too big to fit into our skin’s pores therefore cannot be applied topically. Our bodies must produce its own collagen to be effective for our skin.)
Number 2. Skin care treatments must hydrate our skin to keep it soft to touch Hydration also helps our skin free from cracking, chapping and dryness.
Number 3. skin care treatments must also have ingredients to counter fine lines, wrinkles, age spots and blemishes. Although there is much much more research that can be done about anti aging skin care treatments hopefully this article will help you to go in the right direction.

Follow A Simple Anti Aging Skin Care Guide
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on May 3, 2010
In order to be effective, an anti aging skin care guide should be very easy to follow. Let’s face it; people generally don’t stick to following detailed do’s and don’ts and, therefore, anti aging skin care treatment directions should be simple and straightforward.
In this article, I will first give a short list of tips which will help you to keep your skin stay youthful looking, and then I will give you a little bit of advice regarding your selection of skin care products.
First, let’s start with the tips:
Tip # 1: Drink plenty of water , at least 8 glasses a day. As you probably know, 70% of our body consists of water, so, maintaining that level of hydration is crucial to the health of our skin, being the largest organ of our body.
Tip # 2: Stay out of the sun, especially between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is the time when the sun’s UV rays (which are the most harmful for your skin) reach their strongest peak. Don’t be fooled by cloudy skies, because UV radiation can pass through the clouds, as it can pass through water as well. So, don’t assume you are safe if you are in the water and feeling cool.
Tip # 3: If you can’t avoid sun exposure, use sunscreen, but don’t overdo it. Sunscreen lotions are rated according to the Sun Protection Factor (SPF), ranging from 2 to 30 or higher. The higher the number, the longer the protection from the sun. A lotion with an SPF 15 or higher, is considered to offer adequate protection. However, sunscreens contain chemicals harmful for your skin, so be warned that long term use of sunscreens might ultimately do more harm than good. So, my advice is to use sunscreens sparingly and only if you can’t avoid exposure to the sun.
Tip # 4: Always wear protective clothing. When exposed to the sun rays, always make sure you wear a hat with a wide brim which shades your neck, ears, eyes and head. In addition, wear sunglasses which block 99 to 100% of UV rays.
Tip # 5: Avoid artificial tanning. Stay away from sunlamps and tanning beds, as well as tanning pills and tanning makeup. You probably don’t know this, so be aware that tanning pills have a color additive that turns your skin orange after you take them. This color additive may be harmful. Also, be aware that tanning makeup products are not sunscreen lotions and therefore will not protect your skin from the sun.
Tip # 6: An anti aging skin care guide would not be complete, if I didn’t mention the importance of diet. You see, a lot of damage to the skin is caused by the so called free radicals, which, in simple terms, are large molecules which damage cells in our body, including skin cells. A diet rich in dark green, leafy, vegetables such as spinach and broccoli will counteract the damage caused by these free radicals.
In addition to adhering to the above tips, your anti aging skin care treatment should be complemented with the use of a high quality skin product. In general, there are two basic criteria that a skin care product should fulfil, in order to be qualified as high quality:
First, it should contain ingredients which stimulate the generation of collagen and elastin. These are proteins which are responsible for our skin looking young and firm. When we get older, these proteins get gradually depleted and so our skin begins to sag and form wrinkles. Ingredients such as Cynergy TK found in high quality skin care products have scientifically been proven to reverse the process of depletion of these proteins.
Second, a high quality skin care product should contain ingredients with antioxidant properties, such as Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10. As mentioned in one of the tips of the anti aging skin care guide, free radicals are responsible for a lot of the damage afflicted on our skin cells. Antioxidant ingredients inhibit the activity of these free radicals, thus improving the tone and texture of our skin.
In conclusion, these are a few guidelines on which to base your anti aging skin care treatment. If you are interested in learning more about what to look for when choosing a skin care product, please visit my website.

Some Simple Tips for Anti Aging Skin Care
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on May 3, 2010
One of the most important steps to keeping your skin looking and feeling young is to look after it every day. This means that you should not wait for signs of wrinkles forming. Start using an antiaging skin cream before the lines start to form on your face. The importance lies in keeping the face moist and hydrated with a proper cream. When the skin dries out, the lines and wrinkles will start to form prematurely.
Anti aging skin care does not necessarily mean that you put a lot of oil or cream on your face. The reason that you need to do more is that this is only treating the surface of the skin. The best product is one that will penetrate the layers of skin and provide nourishment and protection to the skin as well.
Anti aging skin care will also be affected by the climate in which you live. For example, if you happen to live in a cold climate, the cold air is hard on your skin as is the dry indoor heat. These extremes will cause your skin to feel tight and maybe even itchy and irritated. Thus, you will need a cream that addresses these issues along with the basic antiaging skin cream. If you live in a region that receives a lot of sun, you will need to make sure you apply a cream that protects your skin from the suns harmful rays.
Anti aging skin care involves other steps besides applying an antiaging skin cream. Eating healthy food and protecting your skin from the sun are great steps to take to protect your skin besides the creams. Getting plenty of exercise is great for your health but it usually will not affect your skin as you get older. If you suffer from menopause, it is quite possible that what worked for you in the past, may not work now. You may need to experiment with a richer moisturizer as your skin may appear drier than it had before.
We will wrap this up by stating that an antiaging skin cream is important to keeping ones youthful appearance for as long as possible before the ravages of time take over completely.

A Simple Anti Aging Skin Care Guide – 3 Easy Steps to Maintaining a Youthful Look
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on January 9, 2010
With the term anti aging, whether coined by a marketing executive or a doctor, the word âantiâ literally translates to âcombating or defending against.â This term is overly used in the skin care industry because, well, it sells.
The thing is skin will age. And nothing can prevent it from doing so. The more realistic approach might be: What to do to keep a more youthful complexion for a longer period of time?
As grandmother surely stated more than once, âan ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.â In other words, don’t add to the problem. In assessing prevention, a simple anti aging skin care guide would be a smart place to begin. Letâs start with three easy steps:
1) Sleep & Stress - Getting lots of the first and minimizing the second. If youâve ever spent a few days with less than a full nights sleep, you know how bad it reflects upon your skin. Sleep is the repair time for the skin so give it priority. Sleep needs vary but typically 7-8 hours a nightâ¦and as many before twelve midnight as possible; doing so will give the skin a well-rested, refreshed look. Stress, too, shows up on the skin. Could be with breakouts, or tension lines; itâs when people say to you, âOh, you look tired.â What they really mean is: you donât look so good. Do whatever it takes to relieve stress several times a day: walks with the dog, breathing exercises, yoga, just do something that requires your focus on something other than that which produces the stress. And if possibleâ¦get rid of that which causes the stress in the first place!
2) Healthy Diet & Healthy Products â What we eat is probably the most important aspect of prevention in this anti aging skin care guide. You know the drill: whole grains, green leafy vegetables, fruits. Drinking clean, pure water. Our bodies respond favorably to a healthier diet and the skin radiates too from the nourishment it receives. Vitamin supplements and skin care products are part of the process but we want to make certain that the ingredients within these are as pure and beneficial to our overall health. Keeping away from overly processed foods is important with diet; it is just as important with supplements and topical products to help the skin retain a supple and vibrant glow.
3) Smile! - You donât think this gives a more youthful look? Go stand in front of the mirror. Look at yourself with a relaxed, no smile face. Give it a minute. Then turn a full circle and come back in front of the mirror with a big smile. See the difference? Itâs like magic. The eyes reflect a little more sparkle. The face lifts in the process. Take a few moments throughout your day to quietly reflect on a memory that brings a smile to your heart and face. Others will notice, too. And to keep that smile looking good, continue to care for the teeth with flossing, brushing and regular visits to the dentist.
Granted, one could elect for an anti aging skin care treatment that might provide quick results with temporary removal of wrinkles (injections), or more permanent restructuring (surgery), however, these options are not for everyone. If the more natural route appeals to you, keep this anti aging skin care guide as a reminder to how simple maintaining good health and youthful skin can be.
Simple Anti Aging Skin Care Tips That Work Like Magic
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care products on January 5, 2010
There are a lot of skin care treatments available today. But, you don’t need a time consuming anti aging skin care regime or one that is difficult to follow, rather you simply need to find one that will be able to keep your skin young and healthy. Consider the following simple anti aging skin care tips to get started: Get Limited Sunlight If you are overexposed to the sun then the UV rays can become harmful. Although in small amounts the sun provides your skin with benefits. If you are going to be in the sun for long periods of time then you should cover exposed areas in order to prevent overexposure. Although don’t be frightened away from the sun since a little bit of exposure is good for your skin. Without sunlight your body wouldn’t be able to produce the necessary amounts of Vitamin D. Avoid Sunbeds While popular belief spreads the use of sun beds the shocking fact is these will emit UV rays that can actually cause the skin to age prematurely. Get Hydrated Your skin needs to be hydrated and to do this you should drink plenty of water. This should be water that is pure and free of any harmful chemicals. Remember that the skin is the largest organ of your body and need enough water each day to keep it hydrated. Get Sleep Make sure you get your necessary beauty sleep. A Simple Anti Aging Skin Care Guide With Helpful Hints for Effective Anti Aging Skin Care Treatment
Posted by Anti Aging Products in Anti Aging on December 26, 2009
Simple Hints to Keep Your Skin Healthier
Hint #1 Preventative maintenance is a simple and better alternative than some form of radical treatment or surgery to solve a skin problem, which could have easily been avoided. The first smart habit to adopt when going out into the hot sun is always wear some type of face and neck protection particularly during the hottest part of the day between 11.30pm and 3.30pm. A wide brimmed hat is preferred, however a cap will suffice if you don’t have one available. Wear long sleeved shirts, as the tops of your arms and hands exposed to the UVB rays will get burned, dry out and eventually go scaly and probably start itching.
Small amounts of sun exposure can be good for you because sunlight helps your body produce vitamin D, which is vital for maintaining good health. If the sun is glaring hot and you will be exposed to it for several hours at a time, some form of good quality sunscreen can also help. Be aware there are downside risks using some sun block products, because they usually contain harsh chemicals that are not good for your skin and are very greasy, often marking and permanently damaging your clothes.
Hint #2 Another simple anti aging skin care guide is to drink up to eight glasses of water each day. It sounds like a lot to consume at first, so build up to that amount over a few weeks. Our skin’s surface area makes it the body’s largest organ and our body is over 70% water, so it makes sense to top it up with plenty of good pure water each day.
If you’re the outdoor sporty type and enjoy golf, tennis, water skiing or other similar activities that expose you to the hot sun for up to five or six hours at a time you need to be especially vigilant. On a very hot day you may need to drink eight to ten glasses of water just in this five hour time frame to avoid heat exhaustion and dehydration.
Hint #3 Any anti aging skin care guide would be negligent if it didn’t mention the significance of daily exercise and diet. Which category best describes you? Jump out of bed ready to set the world on fire with a bright positive attitude to the day ahead, or pull the sheets up over your head telling the world to get lost! If you fit the latter category maybe you need to get motivated and get fitter, you can’t expect your skin or any other part of your body to look and feel good if you are unfit and feel lousy about yourself all the time.
Learn to eat good food; you’ve probably all heard about free radicals the molecules that travel around our body causing damage to our cells. Our skin cells are not immune to this damage, which accounts for a lot of the signs of aging we see. We all like to be very naughty occasionally by eating a greasy hamburger, but remember too much saturated fat and sugar are really bad for your heart and arteries, most of the time we should be eating dark leafy green vegetables like broccoli and spinach and fruit like blueberry high in anti oxidants to help counteract free radical damage before it occurs.
Best Quality Natural Skin Care Products.
Tip #4 You basically have two choices when looking for an anti aging skin care treatment, The first is to use often heavily advertised chemical based products which contain suspect ingredients like alcohol, mineral oil and parabens, which are known to be detrimental to your skin and possibly your general health. The second and more sensible option is to use natural plant and herb based products with natural ingredients and oils.
As we hopefully grow old gracefully our bodies often need a little help to stimulate collagen and elastin production because we produce less of it. Special substances like Nanobelle CoenzymeQ10 can assist the body to boost production of collagen and elastin. Your body must manufacture collagen, as the molecules are too large to penetrate the skin when topically applied.
Plant oils such as macadamia and avocado hydrate the skin naturally; grapeseed oil is another antioxidant and creates an invisible film on your skin to keep in moisture. Phytessence Wakame an extract of Japanese sea kelp is renowned for its health giving properties.
Following this anti aging skin care guide will help you keep fit, healthier and you will feel good every day. There are some great natural anti aging skin care treatments out there you can trust. Find products that will address your needs and give you excellent results.
