Two Effective Natural Anti Aging Strategies
Posted by Rem Miguel in wrinkle cream on November 16, 2011
Aging is something that most of us associate with fine lines and skin spots and hence, many of the anti aging treatments out there will entail products that treat such skin problems. And we have absolutely came up with some cutting edge ways to help us pull off such feat through cosmetic solution to actual internal-based solutions that work at the roots of skin aging. There will be a host of options for anyone looking to go through with it.
But many people tend to neglect the concept that fighting skin aging does not only involve cream products and surgery. We sometimes forget that the good fight against skin aging must happen even before it happens and that prevention is still the best approach when dealing with it.
Provided in this post are two of the most overlooked anti aging strategies that will help not only prevent skin aging but will also keep your whole body healthy for a long time.
Lifestyle Considerations
If you are the type who does not get enough sleep most of the time, it must be known to you that getting enough sleep is one of the best natural anti aging strategies out there. It is during sleep that cellular repair is at its peak and your body heals faster during sleep. This is why always achieving 8 hour sleep is of paramount importance when it comes to keeping your body (and your skin) young and strong.
Besides good sleeping habits, you also have to make regular exercise a part of your lifestyle to keep yourself healthy against sickness and hence, keep yourself looking and feeling young. Exercising increases blood flow and circulation which can benefit your skin. The positive effect of skin is actually noticeable right after exercise session due to the increased blood flow.
Diet and Nutrition
Other facets of the natural anti aging regimen is nutrition and diet. You should watch out for what you put into your body as it can have significant implications in your battle against skin aging. There are a lot of food that can result to the buildup of free radicals inside your body. While your body can get rid of them by itself, the continued build up of free radicals in your system might beat your defenses and might trigger a lot of problems health-wise. Free radicals are substances that destroy cells and they have been related to some pre-mature aging and even cancer.
When it comes to free radicals, your best counter is a diet full of antioxidants such as brightly colored fruits and green crisp vegetables. Colorful fruits that contain vitamin C and E have been known to be top antioxidants. Green leafy vegetables are also a good source of such nutrients.
As always, prevention is still better than treatment and premature skin aging is one of those that are best tackled through preventive strategies instead of just waiting for it to happen. The above habits will be more than enough to help you increase your chances of success in your quest against premature skin aging.
One of the alternative ways to get rid of wrinkles and premature aging is through the use of the microneedling approach to stimulate skin to produce the needed collagen in skin repair using the Derma Roller Anti Wrinkle. Skin Type Is Not As Simple As Dry Oily Or Combination
Posted by Charlotte Field in skin care products on February 7, 2011
Does this scene sound familiar? You’re standing in a department store or drug store with your head in your hands because you’ve just read 101 labels on an array of skin care products that all claim to do the same thing – make your skin gloriously healthy and more youthful looking.
Now, you’re trying to narrow down your choices. So, what’s the next step? You try (once again) to figure out your skin type. And, what do you normally do? Pick out the product that’s for “combination skin” because you just can’t figure out your skin type, so you take the easiest route.
The problem with this method of picking out cleansers, exfoliants, toners, and moisturizers is that you are treating your skin without any real knowledge of what your skin needs. You may think your skin is oily, but then why does it always feel so tight after cleansing and toning? Unless you are a professionally trained esthetician you probably don’t really know the real condition of your skin, let alone what you skin needs for nutrition and balance.
When the CBS program The Doctors featured Face Mapping(R) at Dermalogica, we learned that our face cannot be looked at as a whole entity and labeled oily, dry, or combination skin as we have become accustomed. Our skin is much more complicated than we thought!
According to the people at Dermalogica, once our face is mapped out, we will receive an accurate skin typing for all the areas of the face and neck. Once we have the correct skin type, we can start treating our skin with the products that best suit our skin. Without really knowing our skin type, we are only guessing how to treat it, and the results are never what we expect.
If you guess what your skin type is by its symptoms, you may be in a vicious cycle. Let’s say you use a powerful exfoliant or astringent every day on your shiny “T zone” but still have to powder your face every few hours. Your face is trying to tell you something with this over-production of oil. Without knowing what your skin type is, you won’t really know what it needs to stay healthy.
As we begin to age, so does our skin. Our skin will lose some elasticity, become dull, and we’ll see lines and wrinkles form around our eyes, mouth, and neck. Improper treatment with heavy night creams and such may actually cause more harm than good. Some “lifting” and “firming” treatments are fine, but we won’t know what we need, or where, until we find out what our skin type really is. All “aging skin” products are not necessarily right for your skin.
Heavy lotions and creams can weigh down the skin and slow down the natural cell rejuvenation we need in order to maintain healthy, glowing skin. As any professional esthetician can tell you, aging skin needs a boost of nutrients and freshening to encourage the cells to rejuvenate in order for the skin to look younger and brighter. A thick coating of moisturizer, no matter how creamy and smooth it feels, will not give aging skin everything it needs to maintain a healthy condition.
Even though our skin is our body’s largest organ, we sometimes forget to treat it as well as it deserves. Find out what your skin really needs by first finding out what type of skin you have. Make an appointment with your favorite esthetician today to learn your true skin type. Then treat your skin the way it deserves to be treated – eat well, exercise, drink plenty of water, and use the proper skin care products that will result in truly healthy, glowing skin.

Should You Really Use That Moisturizer With Sunscreen Added?
Posted by Peter Albertonach in Anti Aging on January 3, 2011
It is commonly known that sunburn is really bad for your skin, so doesn’t it make sense that you should use a moisturizer with sunscreen?
But surprisingly the answer is not quite what you’d expect.
There’s no doubt though that sunburn is really bad for your skin.
And if you want to make sure you’re going to have older looking skin with sagging and wrinkles, dryness and lines, just start getting sunburned at an early age, and do it regularly.
Then there’s skin cancer to consider too.
So that means that it makes total sense to use a moisturizer with sunscreen with an spf as high as possible.
Not necessarily, though I’m certainly not saying that its fine to get sunburned.
So why isn’t it a great idea to use a moisturizer with sunscreen added? Because there is some evidence that the daily use of sunscreens can be dangerous to your health and there are even some scientists who believe that regular use of sunscreens can cause cancer.
Now it certainly isn’t proven yet, but is suspected by many scientists. If, say, you use a sunscreen normally around 5 or 6 times a year then the risk is lower, but if you use a moisturizer then the chances are that you use it every day, so the risk is higher as you are using a sunscreen daily, and many days when you don’t need it.
There’s primarily 2 different types of sunscreens, those that stay on the surface and those that soak in. Those that stay on the surface are those using zinc or titanium.
If the sunscreen soaks in then a portion of them will get into your bloodstream. Possibly dangerous. And most skincare products with spf factors use the type that soaks in because it looks and feels better.
And remember, any spf factor is produced by use of synthetic chemicals and you don’t really want synthetic chemicals in your blood.
And there’s more. If you block the sun to your face every day it’s possible that you could start to suffer from vitamin D deficiency. There are studies that show that anything up to 60% of Americans suffer from a deficiency of vitamin D. (Though not all caused by sunscreen use by any means).
So now you’re wondering what to do?
Use the highest quality moisturizer with no sunscreen added. In fact the manufacturer of the worlds best skin care products specifically avoids using an spf factor in their products for all the reasons outlined.
And use a sunscreen with either zinc or titanium block only on days when you really think you are at risk of sunburn. And on most days you really won’t need sunscreen anyway, so enjoy your extra supplies of vitamin D.

Tired of That Lack Luster Appearance? Use Natural Skin Care Products To Brighten And Revitalize Your Skin
Posted by Ingrid Palmer in skin care products on March 15, 2010
Who doesn’t want to look much younger than they really are? Who doesn’t want to have great firm skin? We watch television shows and see model touting product after product. Which ones truly work? Which ones are good for your skin? Natural skin care products maybe the best ones out there that are safe, all natural and very good for you. What do you think about this? To find out more read the rest of this article.
Trending recently is synthetic skin care products that apply collagen or elastin directly to your face. All the commercials and ads tout instant youth with this product. Unfortunately it does not work as well as desired due to our body’s molecular makeup.
Help has arrived in the form of natural products which involve Functional Keratin and Sea Kelp extract. These two natural products do exactly what they promise which is actually help your body to produce more elastin and collagen which does make for a more youthful looking face and body.
When we are speaking of the natural products you still need to be aware of the fact if they are safe to use or not. The FDA does not seem to regulate natural skin products as closely as it does their synthetic cousins. The FDA is beginning to regulate these more carefully as so many more are coming on the market.
One quick example is Vitamin C may be used in products but if your skin is very sensitive it could be extremely aggressive and possibly even damage your skin.
There are a number of advancements in the natural skin care industry and one of the benefits of today’s market place is how many organic products there are for ones perusal. Do realize that in general organic or natural products sometimes cost a bit more than synthetic ones.
If this may be an issue or you are creative you may enjoy creating your own natural products. There are a number of great websites out there. Try taking a milk bath.
Natural skin care products are here to stay and that fact benefits everybody. Next time you are at the store check out some of these and perhaps even try one.
To firm and tone your skin use natural anti aging akin care products to put new life back into your skin.

What In The World Is Functional Keratin In Skin Care?
Posted by Peter Clark in skin care on February 8, 2010
If you’ve spent any time reading about skin health and skin care you’ll start reading about keratin pretty soon. What is it?
You can find keratin in many parts of our bodies. It is a very strong protein that can be found in parts of our bodies like our hair and nails, and our skin.
It is produced in the epidermis of our skin by cells called keratinocytes, and these keratin cells slowly come to the surface of our skin where they form a protective layer of dead skin cells on the surface, and slowly slough off over time.
Keratin has some vital roles in maintaining the function of our skin. It produces some waterproofing qualities, for example. But the main function of keratin in our skin is to promote skin strength and elasticity.
Our skin needs these qualities and as it ages it starts to lose some keratin and so lose some strength and elasticity.
So you would assume that it’s good to use skin care products that contain keratin, but that’s wrong.
The reason is that the process used to produce the keratin found in mainstream skin care products is a process using heat and acid, and this “denaturalizes” the keratin into a form that is of no use to the skin.
So what is functional keratin? This is keratin that is extracted from the wool of sheep without using heat or acid, and so it is not denaturalized. It is functional in the sense that it is still in a form that is available for the skin to use.
It is only recently that this process has been perfected by one small company that makes it and has patented it. It is put into a product called Cynergy TK that is used only in the worlds very best skincare products.
Studies on the results that use of Cynergy TK can produce have been impressive with visible results within a short time, a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines and an improvement in the complexion.
Cynergy TK is expensive, and so the big brand name skin care products don’t use it. But it is possible to get skin care products that contain Cynergy TK, and they aren’t more expensive than other skin care products. Why? Because the big brands spend their budget on advertising, whereas the small niche company spends it’s budget on product quality.
The price of big brand skincare products has to reflect the cost of the advertising.
So there’s some background on the role of keratin in the skin. And about what functional keratin is if you were wondering.

When it comes to looking and feeling great, the right anti aging skin care product is truly a necessity. There are literally thousands of different products that you can choose from these days, and in fact the largest growth area in cosmetic facial treatment in general is related to aging. People are living longer and wanting to keep their healthy, youthful looks for as long as they can.
Although it is impossible to stop the natural aging process, there are some great anti-aging skin care products out there that you can use in order to delay it as much as possible. Depending on your age, skin type, and genetic makeup, there are going to be a few particular products that will be especially effective and well suited for you.
The Options
When it comes to anti aging skin care products, the market is very wide, and there are tons of different variations for all skin types, with leading brands including Lancome, L’Oreal, and Clarins, just to name a few of the many.
It is best to start as early as possible to find the perfect anti aging cream and skin care products, but there are a few in particular that have shown to be extremely effective, one being Cellex-C. This is an incredibly new and innovative anti aging skin care product treatment that utilizes a unique patented complex of vitamins and minerals as an effective anti aging formula to improve the appearance of older looking skin.
This product works by helping to reinforce the outer layer of the skin’s natural defenses against oxy-radical attack, and the formula also contains certain constituents that the skin needs in order to encourage a firm and elastic skin quality. There is really no other anti aging skin care product on the market today that offers the same benefits and effects, and it is definitely worth checking out.
There are many other products to choose from as well, and just remember that any good anti aging product will revitalize your skin and reduce the signs of aging, as well as significantly diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, smooth rough skin texture for ultimate skin care, clear darkening under the eyes, hydrate skin dryness, produce health skin coloration, stimulate the renewal of skin cells, and restore elasticity to sagging skin. Also remember that good anti aging products are not cheap, so if you want to stay looking great then you are going to have to be willing to spend a bit of cash.
How to Find the Best Anti Aging Product Range – Simple Skin Care Secrets Revealed
Posted by Anti Aging Products in skin care on November 24, 2009
The best anti aging product range isn’t found in your local supermarket, nor is it found in the popular skin care product brands that we have today.
Most of them are very bad, to be honest, and I am speaking from personal experience when I say this. You can confirm this yourself by looking at the skin care products that you have in your house.
Look at the ingredients label, do you see anything with the word parabens, alcohols, sulfates, acrylamides, or paraffin in there? Almost all skin care products has at least on of these nasty unnatural ingredients.
If you can’t find an ingredients label, then that is some very bad news. What are they putting in your product that they can’t even say?
When you find an anti aging product range that is completely natural, like I have, you will know the difference. Your skin will start to look a lot better, because it doesn’t have to fight the chemicals you are putting on it anymore.
When you only use a natural anti aging product range, your skin will thank you for it, because it can now do other things than just try to get rid of the harmful things that are on your skin.
Finding an anti aging product range like this doesn’t have to be hard. Even though it took me several years of trial and error, you can do it faster, because I have already shown you how you can look at the ingredients and immediately disqualify bad products.
There are a lot more ingredients that you have to look out for, but the list is too long to go into here, just remember to look for a completely natural anti aging product range, and you’re good to go!
